You craft your own happiness...

 We often talk about happiness as if it’s a destination or a lucky break. We say, "I’ll be happy when I get that promotion," or "I’d be happy if I lived in a different city." This mindset treats happiness like a sunset: something beautiful that happens to us if we’re in the right place at the right time. But what if happiness is less like a sunset and more like a muscle? The 40% Rule Research in positive psychology suggests that while our genetics and our circumstances (like income or health) play a role, roughly 40% of our happiness is determined by our intentional activities. This means a significant portion of our joy is a direct result of our daily choices. Happiness as a Filter Choosing to be happy doesn't mean ignoring the "bad" things.
