Healing as a Journey, Not a Destination

Can I share something with you? A lot of us treat healing like a finish line. We think: Once I get there, I’ll finally be okay. I’ll finally feel whole. The pain will finally be gone. And it makes sense, we all want that clean ending where things just tie up neatly. But the truth is, healing doesn’t really work like that. There isn’t one magical day when you’ll wake up and say, Okay, I’ve officially healed. I’ll never struggle again. Healing isn’t a place you arrive, it’s a road you walk. Sometimes the road is smooth, sometimes it’s rocky, and sometimes it feels like you’re walking in circles. But the fact that you’re still on it, that you haven’t given up, that’s what matters. Let me ask you: have you ever thought you were “done” with something painful, only for it to show up again? Like maybe you thought you’d finally moved on from a heartbreak, but a song catches you off guard. Or maybe you thought you were past an old insecurity, and suddenly it creeps back in.
